These two contexts will test whether they can perform the oral administration when it comes to real manner situations where they be handling patients. The objectives for this lesson are for the students to show a positive attitude to the patients during drug administration and the other is for the students to recognize the difference in patients condition, age and doctors instructions during drug administration. The objective is important because it is basic association required by all students of nursing (Bastable, 2008).In any course, there are different types of leaners. There are three different types of learners I am likely to meet during this course are slow learners, those who have had prior knowledge about a few concepts in this course and students from diff erent countries who have different cultural beliefs. The slow learners will make the whole class put away behind because they might keep on asking questions in order to understand a concept that the rest of the class has already understood. If consideration is non made for them, they might fail the course. I will acknowledge such students by teaching slowly or offer them tutorials to ensure they are on the same level of understanding with the rest of the class. For those with prior knowledge, it will be like a refresher for the concepts. I will need to understand the refinement of each student in order to facilitate their teaching. The most effective and appropriate teaching strategy is brainstorming as it keeps students on their toes about what has been discussed antecedently and also ensures that students always link what they are being taught currently with the previous knowledge for better understanding of the course. Brainstorming also ensures that learning is more student-ce ntered as the teacher just initiates the discussion and students

Gun Control - Essay ExampleThis essay go forth specifically address the reasons for allowing personal gun ownership and usage. The federal brass should not restrict American concourse from carrying guns because guns do not kill people but people kill people. Hence, by restricting gun ownership we do not create a safer society since the safety of the society relies on our morals and not firearms. Additionally, distributeing to the second Amendment to the U.S Constitution, it is a legitimate right for an American citizen to own a gun for security reasons and cherishion of his property (Endersby Web). In situations where the police are incapable of protecting the citizens like where thugs break into houses in the wee hours of the night, a personal gun would offer a reprieve. In fact, wrongise guns would not eliminate them from the society since most of the guns are illegal secret imports that are never registered. Hence, banning gun ownership will only accord criminal a chance to o wn illegal guns and deny law-abiding citizens weapons to protect themselves from the criminals. Moreover, shooting is a sport recognized by the federal government and relies on gun ownership. Hence, banning ownership of guns would deprive the sportsmen of their leisure, kill the sport and the economic benefits attached to it. Actually, a country can effectively fight external aggression if most of its citizens have an ability to use guns. Banning personal gun ownership denies this ability. Indeed, the federal government recognizes the significance of a well-regulated militia in the second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Many countries rely on this militia to defend themselves. In probable cases of rape and other crimes, women will have no means to protect themselves when the rapists strike. Ideally, the possibility of a victim to possess a firearm prevents a crime.Socially, the banning of gun ownership will lead to black markets for guns and subsequent criminal revenue as peopl e seek for

Kants Fundamental Principles of the Metaphysic of Morals - Essay Exampleattributes concerning this proposition, he specifically delineates immaturity as the initial stage at which an unenlightened man is to be found then only by finding courage with reason rump an individual attain to the state of competence and abolish ignorance.Kant argues that our will is hot when it is determined by reason and the courage serves as a fuel toward the execution of reason. On this ground, humans are summ peerlessd to acknowledge responsibility by air of paying courage worth on initiating to acquire the pertinent means to discern oneself and create appropriate ethical response to the world. The power of reason is life-or-death and Kant promotes it for the sake of enlightenment much as he adheres to the power of reason for the purpose of obeying the dictates of universal law. Reflecting after this regard, I believe that the philosopher in his time desires to consume across resolution to the chaot ic nature of man under the governance of reasoning so that a man discovers the potential advantage of being rational. For one to realize the value attached with trade, Kant likely conveys the requirement to appreciate reason. Moreover, he seems to try to make sense of reason in the light of distinguishing an action that comes from the excellent intention to perform duty from an action that emerges out of self-interest or inclination. Here, Kant calls for the need to understand how reason manages to sustain enlightenment in human and in turn, the enlightened condition naturally opts for a deed with moral quality. A man whose well-being has reached such an extent of intellect or thought can be expected to act based on the so-called maxim with the basic principle that the moral action is to do ones duty. This I suppose is equivalent to claiming that a morally conscious person is one who has been refined in the process of enlightenment out of which proceeds the crying of goodwill. Pra ctically speaking, our experience of the world reveals that it is

Environment Case Information Technology Coursework

Environment Case Information Technology - Coursework ExampleTechnology is catching up with humanity. Microsoft (2010) studied a business model called the hybrid organisation. It is a company designed to maximize their human resources through smart design of buildings, adopt a flexible approach to where work gets done, seek long-term goals rather than fill in short-term scorecards, and reject (or at least question) outmoded practices such as rigorous groups and roles. The findings indicate that the organisation is best positioned to take whatever the economy and other external stimuli had to throw at them. The case of Hydro-Quebecs radical IT heed change in the last two decades is reflective of such case. More out of necessity, rather than choice, it restructured its IT steering to adapt to the new government rules and customer demands. fortuitously for them, they did it early and they did it successfully. Not only were they able to retain their leadership, they were also able to s tay ahead of any threat in all its core businesses. IT Management is highly affected by internal and external factors but the two are often hard to segregate. Bullish Globalization Globalization refers to the increased desegregation and fusion of economy and society between countries that result to a better flow of international finance. By opening up markets, organizations get access to a variety of business products and services which allows them to have superior competitive position with lower operating costs, to gain greater numbers of products and services. The end beneficiary is supposed to be the consumers. Hydro-Quebec experienced the first blow of globalization when the U.S. electricity market was deregulated, the Federal Energy Regulation Commission (FERC) required that companies wanting to sell electricity on the American market must open theirs to American suppliers. Their leadership on the production and distribution of electricity in Quebec was threatened so they we re labored to reorganize. They pitch up five divisions Production, TransEnergie, Distribution, Equipement, Petrole et gaz, and Technologie et developpement industriel (Dube, Bernier, & Roy, 2007). Each division was responsible for its own profitability but they were unflustered to work under the same company. They decided to set up Shared Services Centre (SSC), a unit responsible for the procurement and services as well as the IT department. They decided to keep ascorbic acid percent of their IT management and operations within the company. They didnt yet see the need to go out or outsource. Their business didnt go beyond Quebec and America anyway. Other companies didnt have that luxury. Procter & Gamble, DuPont, Cisco Systems, ABN Amro, Unilever, Rockwell Collins, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals are some of the companies that enjoy the benefits of globalization. While they remain a US company, their manufacturing center, clinic operation, research and development, customer service, a nd logical argument Process divisions are all in Asia (Engardio,2006). When labour cost is Asia is less than a twentieth of the labour cost in their home country (Bureau of struggle & Statistics, 2011), there really seems no other intelligent option but to shift operation. There will be infrastructure changes, of course, like setting up high speed connection between countries, training new people, and buying new software but even if you multiply those costs by two, you still wouldnt come close to the efficiency you will get. Human Form versus Nature Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Human Form versus genius - Essay ExampleThe Romans were influenced by these thoughts and in addition sought to portray man as a superior being. Here the emphasis is on mans power as opposed to the lesser importance of people as seen in Eastern art where nature has a much more dominant role. The sculptures of Michalangelo are famous for the way the tender-hearted body is treated. With his excellent skill at carving the marble his work stands as some of the greatest ever created in this style. In China, the philosophical principles of Daoism and Confucianism swindle a big role in the way of life and the way of thinking is a guide to live by. One of the facets of Daoism is the relationship of nature in relation to its various elements and to man. Man is taught to follow the principles of nature. Nature in art is illustrated as the central element in a great many pieces. Nature as a dominant theme has lasted more than a thousand years. By the late Tang Dynasty, landscape painting had evolved to depict man as seeking an escape from everyday life to commune with nature in all its beauty. The influence of China spread to Japan, as did the philosophy of Buddhism. In Nipponese art people are often portrayed as a small part of the vast landscape. They are only a part of the human and the powerful forces of nature are seen as great in comparison. Hokusais 36 Views of Mount Fuji beautifully illustrate this theme. A hint to understand our current questions of what nature is, how it should be faced and how to coexist with it should be hidden within these art pieces that have viewed nature. (Sakagami 1) References 1. Nature in Japanese Art after the Experience of the Earthquake, Keiko Sakagami, Web. 10 Nov. 2011. http//www.yomiuri.co.jp/adv/wol/dy/reviews/110422.htm Writing Assignment The Afterlife Across Cultures The afterlife has long been a theme in art. From Ancient Egypt, Greece, Africa and other far-off Eastern cultures the attitudes and beliefs about a supernatu ral transformation that takes place after a person dies has inspired many objects to be placed with them at the term of their death. In Ancient Egypt people were buried with objects that they might have used in their life on earth. This practice stems from the belief that the person will be living in another realm after their death in a similar fashion. They therefore will need the things they had with them in their former life. Depending on the place in society and economic class the things they will need vary. A member of the royal family may have statues of soldiers and musical instruments buried with them tour a farmer might have animals and tools and pottery with them. These things relate to their lifestyle as it was. The idea of immortality was also ceremonial zed in the elaborate coffins the departed were buried in. The Egyptians believed that these complex burial rituals help to ensure the person would arrive safely in the afterlife. The coffins themselves were decorated with symbolic images that were believed to guarantee this passage into the next life. some of these artifacts have been uncovered in tombs of the dead and survive in museums today. In Ancient Greece they believed that the spirit of a person left the body at the cadence of death and went to a place known as Hades. In the Underworld all of the dead resided. In honor of the deceased elaborate preparations of the body were make and large stone structures marking the grave sites were built. Sculptures and other objects also decorated the graves. In addition to the actual site of burial, vases were decorated with scenes commemorating the persons life in homage to them. The immortality of a person lay in their

Influence of the Media in American Politics Essay

Influence of the Media in American Politics - Essay ExampleThese include newspapers, magazines, newsletters, advertising, websites radio and television broadcasting. A review of news channels and programs that feature political discussions of the coverage of politics by American newspapers and internet sites of radio shows reveals the wealth of information in circulation about American politics. The question is to what extent ar people exposed to this information to what extent do they absorb it. In 1987 Americans spent $6 billion for their weekday papers and around $1.4 billion on Sunday newspapers2. In 2001, there were approximately 248 million television sets in the United States and 1,669 hours, the equivalent of 70 days, was the projected time that adults in the United States would watch television in 20043. There is both a wealth of information about American politics and a high spirit level of public exposure to it. On the other hand, this does not determine that the media coverage or the publics perception of it is in any way slanted to the promotion of a particular political view. One of the near interesting means of measuring the degree to which media is reflective of the public opinion on American politics is to equivalence and analyse news coverage alongside reviews of public opinion. Several key issues warrant consideration. The war in Iraq and the present state of the US economy atomic number 18 two decidedly hot topics in the news today. Other interesting comparisons can be drawn with issues such as the war in Vietnam during the sixties and 1970s, and perhaps the US policy against Communism until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989. The most accessible political issues for analysis in this context are the war in Iraq and the US economy as a means of monitoring the political spectrum relating to the approval of the presidency of George W. Bush at this time. One of the most controversial times in recent history for the mass media was t he 2001 election this event also warrants analysis as a means of demonstrating the kind of trance that the media appears to have upon US politics. An important view is expressed by Entman regarding the workings of the mass media and its relationship to politics within the United States. Entman describes the political and the economic as the two real marketplaces within the United States. He also states that in ideal vision, the competition between these two marketplaces is considered to driver journalistic excellence. The reality, he concludes, is very different from the idea4. Entman states that, in practice, the competition between the economic and the political markets in the United States prevent journalists from supplying the kind of news that would allow the total American to practice sophisticated citizenship5. The ultimate conclusion offered is that the America public know and care very little about the government and so do not seek or understand high-quality political rep orting and analysis, holding either the government or journalists accountable in any respect6. sure Entmans opinion requires the support of evidence there is ample supply.
